Beach safety
- Leaving unattended personal articles on the beach between 7:00 pm and 6:00 am is prohibited and subject to removal and disposal. This includes volleyball nets, tents, chairs, cabanas, sunshades, umbrellas, or any other personal items.
- Any digging that presents a dangerous condition or is left unattended is prohibited.
- Disturbing the dune structure, which includes playing, sliding, or climbing on the frontal dune, is prohibited.
- Any activity causing a threat to public safety is prohibited. Violations will be enforced by Town personnel. Please adhere to all lifeguard warnings and directions.
- You are responsible for your trash removal and disposal.
- Beach fires are prohibited. It shall be unlawful for any person to start or set a fire of any kind on the beach.
- Fireworks are prohibited.
- Surfers must have surfboards leashed to their bodies.
- Driving on the beach or dunes is prohibited.
Dogs
- Dogs are only allowed on the beach between 6:00 pm and 9:00 am from May 15 to September 15. (There are no time limitations at any other time of the year.)
- Dogs must be on leash at all times when off personal property.
- Feces must be picked up. Please protect our beaches.
Swimming
- Swimming is prohibited while red flags are being flown. Red warning flags are posted every half mile on the beach when it is unsafe or illegal to swim.
