Planning Board Meeting December 19, 2022

PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the Southern Shores Planning Board will meet on December 19, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. in the Pitts Center located at 5377 N. Virginia Dare Trl. The purpose of the meeting is for the Board, performing the duties of the Southern Shores Board of Adjustment, to hold a Public Hearing to consider VA-22-02, a Variance application submitted by Kerry and Denise Skinner to seek relief from Town Code Section 36-202(b)(5)c. at the property located at 36 Ginguite Trl. The Board will also consider SUP-22-01, a Special Use Permit application submitted by Timmons Group on behalf of Fire Service Real Estate, Inc. to construct a new EMS/Fire Station at 28 E. Dogwood Trl. The Board will also discuss the possibility of transferring the Martin’s Point commercial properties in the Town’ extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) to Dare County for Planning and Zoning purposes. The Board will also consider TCA-22-04, a Town Code Amendment application submitted by the Town of Southern Shores to add Town Code Section 1-13, Conflicts of Interest.
