Sign Up for Town of Southern Shores Trash/Recycling Notices to stay informed of changes to routes and schedules for trash and recycling services.
Dare County has provided the Town of Southern Shores with access to a mass notification tool, Regroup, Regroup Mass Notification . This software will allow the Town of Southern Shores to directly contact citizens, businesses owners, visitors, and anyone else who has an interest in Southern Shores with updates and alerts.
In addition to the group already established, Town of Southern Shores Emergency Alerts for information pertaining to major disaster and hurricane alerts, the Town has established a group called TOSS Trash/Recycling Schedule to alert citizens when changes and adjustments are made to the trash and recycling schedule.
While signing up for the service, you can choose which form of communication you prefer, as well as the frequency with which you receive the alerts and messages. You can also sign up to receive weather alerts from NOAA and the National Weather Service. Change your mind? Not a problem! You can change these settings or unsubscribe at any time. Your Regroup account will still be active and you can change your personal setting to receive alerts again.
Users can sign up and manage their subscription at www.darenc.com/emergencyalerts – choosing how time-sensitive messages are received and which devices, phone numbers and email addresses notifications are sent to. Alerts can also be sent based on address. Including a home address, work address, and the addresses of any additional properties owned in Dare County, will ensure users receive notification of situations impacting those specific areas.
