POSITION : Police Officer
LOCATION: Town of Southern Shores, NC
SALARY RANGE: $34,905 - $52,358. Starting salary dependent on experience and education.
DUTIES: Town of Southern Shores, population 2600 seeks police officer to perform general law enforcement duties to include, but not limited to: investigating traffic accidents; answering calls for service and complaints; protecting life and property; enforcing traffic and other laws and ordinances; preventing and investigating criminal activity; testifying in court; performing related work as required; writing detailed and factual reports.
REQUIREMENTS: Prior law enforcement experience preferred but not required; completion of high school/GED; NC Basic Law Enforcement Certification; possession of valid NC driver's license; willing to work rotating shifts; and, possession of computer skills needed to support job functions; prefer applicant reside within 20 miles of town limits.
