Wind Generation Facilities Plan

PURPOSE OF THE WIND GENERATION FACILITIES PLAN FOR SOUTHERN SHORES:

•  Provide Southern Shores with a clear and consistent policy framework and ordinance for making decisions on permit applications for public and/or private wind generation facilities.

•  Ensure that wind generation facilities in Southern Shores are sited, constructed and operated in a way that is:

• Safe for residents, especially adjacent property owners,
• Encourages appropriate use of wind generation technology and products,
• Respectful of the aesthetic character of Southern Shores.
