The Southern Shores Town Council recessed the July 1, 2008 Council meeting to Monday July 7, 2008 at 7 pm in the Pitts Center . Town Council will continue to discuss ways to stop cut-through traffic on S. Dogwood Trail during the weekends in the summer and any other issues as may come before them. The public is encouraged to attend.

Personnel Announcement by the Town Manager: Merrie Smith is being re-classified to that of Executive Assistant effective July 1, 2008. This re-classification is representative of a number of factors, chief among them are; the needs of the Town of Southern Shores, support needs of the Town Manager, and her consistently outstanding job performance. Her professionalism and service to the Town of Southern Shores and to me as the Town Manager are greatly appreciated and she is commended for a job very well done! Please join me in congratulating Merrie and wishing her continued success.
Council approved FY 2008-09 Budget Ordinance at their June 10 meeting.
**New Chipping Schedule** - No chipping June, July and August. May will be the last month for chipping until September. Go to chipping for more information on the new chipping program.

If you already have a 2007 parking sticker you don't need to apply for a new one. The 2007 stickers are good until further notice. If you get a new vehicle or have just moved into Town, you must apply for a sticker. Go to Parking for more information.
