All materials must be placed inside the can and all cans must be 3 ft. apart and 2 feet of the abutting pavement or they cannot be collected. Set cans out the night before pickups. Pull back within 24 hours.

Garbage Guide:  (Green or black can) Use for general trash and garbage.  Bag and place in the green or black can.  Lids must close.  NO trash outside cans, NO motor oil, yard waste, construction debris or hazardous waste.

Recycling Guide: (Maroon/Red or Blue can) You may recycle certain clean materials placed loose in the red can (no bagging, tying or bundling). Corrugated boxes must be broken down/cut to fit inside the can. You may recycle:  paper products (such as newspapers, junk mail, paper bags, phone books, magazines and catalogs); clean aluminum and steel cans and aluminum foil; clean green, brown and clear glass jars and bottles; and, clean #1 and #2 plastic bottles (only those with neck or pouring spout).  No garbage or trash.  No plastic bags, except for shredded paper. Shredded paper is accepted in plastic bags, due to if placed loose in the can it will end up blowing all over the streets when it is dumped.
